Founded as Unawiri Children Foundation in 2019, the organization began supporting underserved youth. In 2020, under Unawiri, The Darajani Academy Football Club was launched to develop football talent, leadership, and community engagement. By 2023, the foundation rebranded to Lerato Foundation, expanding into mentorship, education, sports, and community empowerment.
